Derby victor Desert Crown has been ruled out of following month’s Juddmonte International at York by instructor Sir Michael Stoute.

The unbeaten colt was an excellent winner at Epsom in June, however, was required to miss out on King George VI And Also Queen Elizabeth Stakes when a foot problem emerged last week.

Desert Crown holds an entrance for York on August 17– however, a journey to the Knavesmire is no longer an opportunity.

Stoute said: “We are not mosting likely to issue any type of declarations regarding it as well as not going to get into it. He is not going to York, though.”

Owner Saeed Suhail’s racing manager Bruce Raymond really hopes the son of Nathaniel will be suitable for the autumn activity, with prospective targets including the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and Champion Stakes.

Raymond claimed: “We’ll try to prepare him for completion of the season, either the Arc or the Champion Stakes.

” I have actually not talked with Sir Michael, yet the York race is August 17, he’d need to be trotting by now.

” I just do not believe there is enough time to prepare him.”

In the lack of Desert Crown, Coral reduced Baaeed to 4/5 favourite from 5/4 for the York showpiece.
