Sean Levey has required a complete investigation and wishes there are “lessons to be discovered” following his current enforced spell out of the saddle.
Levey was taken off his install at Sandown recently adhering to an arbitrary saliva swab that tested positive for a forbidden compound.
The jockey quickly asked for a urine sample which subsequently returned adversely, yet in the meantime, Levey needed to miss his trips at the final Racing League meeting for which he was leading the standings in the race for a ₤ 20,000 bonus.
He returns with 5 scheduled rides at Haydock on Friday.
Sean Levey said in a statement on Wednesday: “Although I enjoy being back riding later on today, it’s difficult not to feel hurt at what has actually taken place to me the last few days. Some may say I have actually been unfortunate with the false favorable happening prior to the Racing League final, however, I regard wish that there are lessons to be gained from this and that comparable points don’t occur to jockeys in the future.
